Each year, Morningstar analysts investigate the impact of fees on fund performance. The results of this research is published in the investment research firm’s Annual Fund Fee Study, which is highly anticipated by investment professionals. Recent reports have identified two persistent trends in the advice business. Firstly, low-cost funds generally have greater odds of outperforming more expensive peers. Secondly, fees continue to fall as the industry undergoes profound change.

To support the marketing of this report, a campaign centered on the idea of perforation was created. This visual mnemonic was carried across all touchpoints, including on the editorial site, report microsite, social media cards, and marketing emails.
